For me, I guess it really should be called the "Onalaska Experiment." (Or just the "experiment.)
To be honest, the results were mixed, with no profound data to hold on to. What writings follow on the pages of this "blog" are as close as it gets to being the product of my Walden experiment and the lingering (and perchance permanent) effect.
This is where I re-awoke as a poet and found my voice.

You did an experiment on this? I don't see where the results are posted. I find it interesting that Henry David felt the need to simplify!
these poems i've posted are the result of my walden experiment. i, like Henry, felt the need to simplify so the experience of living wasn't obscured by the superficial things we find pervasive in society--or, as my brother pointed out, to "disconnect." my intent was simply to reconnect with the me i felt i had lost.
